replacing DV's with the 710N's - quick question

Post by fade2grey » Sat May 06, 2006 3:51 pm

I'm finally getting around to replacing the DV's on the car.. the small hose is tiny - Jublee clips are too big to fit, what's everyone else done? Is this a vaccum hose? have people ziptied it or used to proper clips?

Cheers,
A

Mine are zipped, you can also get jubilee type clamps, I have some that are very thin and flexible. Taken from an assortment of fuel hose clamps.

Righty, mine are zippie tied :D very tickety-boo engineering indeed! I was surprised how easy it was to be honest, I have a history with spanners so normally keep well away but yeah the 2nd one only took a couple of mins tops!

Seems to have made bugger all difference mind :) & the Diaphrams on the old ones (710A's) seem fine so may be it was all in vein but hey, 45 mins of my life & all good fun.

I did notice quite a lot of oil deposits in the passanger side tube - the one that comes up from the bottom.. anything to worry about?
