not compared to the C6 RS6
space obviously and interior comfort and spec
though the tech will be newer
more chuckable in the turny bits
i don't have the RS3 but the wife has the S3 sports back she can get 2 sets of golf clubs and electric trolleys in the back with the seats down if that's a concern
cheaper road tax and running costs compared to the RS6
give Paulm and PM as he has had a RS6 abet it was a C7 and now has a RS3 saloon he would be able to give you a better incite to the pros and cons

cheers for the info , looked at a few different spec'd ones at the weekend , all pre registered with 10mles or so on the clock, they do have a lot less gadgets than the rs6 , the only thing I was a bit cheesed off with was the trade in price. the one dealer I asked only offered 15k for mine

Only real down side is the size. Seems obvious, but the difference in width and rear leg room means the RS3 can only really carry 3 adults and bags, where the RS6 could carry 4 in decent comfort, 5 at a stretch. The dash/cabin etc is all a class size down, and it was noticeable going from a C7 to an 8V.1, but coming from a C6 to an 8V.2 you won't have much to complain about. A mapped facelift is faster than a standard C7 too, so depending on what level of tune your C6 was, you'll notice the advantage of DSG and less weight in the turns, or you'll notice the extra speed everywhere.
