I think the 19s are borderline too small so personally I'd avoid 18 but each to their own.

The reason I’m thinking 18’s is down to the state of the roads and it will allow a little more tyre. On the 19’s and lowered it feels like the struts are coming up through the car on every pothole. Only for the winter though👍

I follow that logic on my S8 - 20s in summer, 18s in winter.

FWIW I just put Conti WinterContacts on my RS4. Fantastic.

I stuck same size and it all seems fine. The tread is grippier and more cushion than the summer tyres. Pot holes are pot holes and are around year round

Well the wheels arrived today. Tomorrow will be the test if they clear the callipers 🤔🤔

Bugger 😫😫😫. As you can see I can confirm 18’s off an S3 don’t fit. A costly test

Stop messing around and get another set of 19s. Why spoil the look of the car for 6 months of the year.

Mike it’s not so much the look it’s the ride quality. Every bump or pot hole feels like the suspension is coming up through the car. It’s lowered but only with H&R. I like the look and agree 19’s are what the car needs and with 10mm spacers all round it looks and sits perfect

It's not that bad! Better than your old RS6.

Pot holes don’t disappear in summer...

I've just seen the wheels in the for sale thread. They look really good in that colour. Where are they catching? Hard to tell in the photos. I think it looks like the diameter is too small rather than the spokes catching the caliper. If so, wouldn't a spacer help by bringing them out a bit or is the barrel flat all the way through the wheel?

Mike the car is already on 10mm spacers it touches on the radial and the spokes. A larger spacerwould sort that problem but the calliper would still touch on the radial
