Wide wheels?

I see that even the 20" optional wheels (apparently not available in the UK?) still use an 8J rear. Does anyone have aftermarket wider wheels on the back, maybe 19x9? What sort of offset and tyres would I need to get away with it? I'm not keen on stretched tyres, but maybe a 245 on a 9J would leave a bit of rim protection while also dodging the dreaded top screw.
