Were there any spec changes?

Post by kmpowell » Thu Jun 15, 2017 10:20 am

A quick search online seems to indicate there was only ever one brochure...

March 2016
Edition 1.8 03/16
2016 Model Year

... so I'm assuming no spec changes and/LCi ever occurred before they pulled the model ready for the 400hp facelift that's due out soon?

Yes there was but I cannot give you exact dates. They did a change to Sat Nav on all A3's where the SD card based system was standard. Because of this the price of the tech pack on the RS3 dropped although the base price of the car did increase but overall the car became slightly cheaper if you had added the tech pack.

I still have a brochure which is;

April 2015
Edition 1.0
04/2015
2016 Model year

Based price of car then was £39,955 & the Tech pack with Audi Connect was £1,795 :beerchug:

Thanks for that, that helps. It's a bit of a minefield trying to identify what 'options' are on cars outside of the AUC, mainly due to the ridiculously HUGE options list that was available, and the lack of visual identifiers e.g the Sports Exhaust has the same chrome trim as the standard.

The cars that came with sat nav as standard had Nav added to the model designation. The change occured around October 2015 from memory. My wife ordered in July and it was an optional at the time. By the time she took delivery in early December it had changed to being standard.

I think basic sat nav was originally a £500 option and the new model with it as standard was £800 more.
The rumours were that people who ordered without nav before the spec change still got their cars at the original price but with nav included.
