Downsizing... Bye bye RS6 hello RS3

I've just taken the plunge and part-exed my Sepang blue RS6 against a Sepang blue RS3
Not often your RS gets smaller as you get older
RS6 was utterly epic but more car than I need at present. Looking forward to getting my hands on the new toy on Tuesday next week

So what are your thoughts on the rs3 steering handling and power wise ???

So far, I love it. Obviously not quite as brutal as the C7 RS6 but more than fast enough for the roads I drive on. Given its size, it is much more chuckable down the country roads and even at lower speeds I'm grinning more than I was before. I'll report back once I've really had time to test the car and develop a more comprehensive view on its abilities

I have done the same. RS6 was a proper piece of kit but I like the RS3

Couple of photos...
Old and new together.
RS3 had chrome strips around windows, grill and silver mirror caps but I wanted the black pack look of my previous RS6...
Painted up grill, front splitter and managed to source original Quattro grill from eBay
Carbon mirrors from Raywell design - really well finished and they were on sale too!
Had wheels painted up and machined to match Audi black pack finish

Yep, really pleased with how it looks now. Funny, after having had black alloys on the last couple of cars I couldn't get on with the look of the standard alloys and the chrome around the windows was reminiscent of my 1966 MGB. Amazing what a lick of paint can do

Thinking about an rs3 next... just fancy something small to chuck about. If so I'm going after market wheels and a big drop!!

I love it - it's an absolute hoot to chuck about, especially city centre driving and blasts down the B-roads.

She's off in Canada / America for a couple of weeks so its just sitting in the garage at the moment. I'll take a look on my computer later to see if I have a decent photos of it once lowered, I think all my photos were taken beforehand.
