The RS6 is/was better riding, and power came more effortlessly than in the RS3 (pretty obvious given the difference in displacement). The RS3 is much more chuckable, but pushing on you can feel its fwd bias. RS3 makes more noise in dynamic though, the engine is just a peach. Performance wise at Stage 1/2 the RS3 should keep up with a stock RS6 just with the weight difference.

I know this is quite an old thread but would be interested to hear if the down size worked or you wished you had the big 6 back. I’m just about to do the same 👍

Going out for a blast, I'd say I actually prefer the RS3. The 6 was just so big. It hid it's weight and size pretty well most of the time, but pushing on down a windy road you'd soon realise it was over 2 tonnes. Cruising around at 'normal' speed, or for the kerb appeal, the 6 wins hands down though. My favourite car I've ever owned for sure. If I could afford to get it back and have a Porsche or something for weekends, that'd be perfect.

You can only get half a dead ho in a three, far less fun to be had.

That depends if it’s a sportback or a loon. The loon has a bigger boot so if you wrap her legs up around her neck she’ll fit in just fine.
