RS3 Drifts...
Re: RS3 Drifts...
Nice! Makes me want to buy one.
Re: RS3 Drifts...
looks more like lift off oversteer rather than drifting ?
Re: RS3 Drifts...
Yeah probably. Was surprised to see it sideways though. I hear the demo cars have been recalled due to oil starvation issues...
Re: RS3 Drifts...
Pretty sure he said it was lift over overrteer in the video.
Re: RS3 Drifts...
love the sound of this new model
correctamondo all new RS3's have been recalled with some fault with the oil/fuel pump. was having a chat to Nigel at stratford. few new RS3's have blown up due to this issue

Re: RS3 Drifts...
Nice driving.
At 2:20 there's a beautiful shot where he's gone sideways, but with the front wheels pointing near straight ahead, which means that despite his attitude, the car is near neutral.
For a 4WD Audi that's quite an achievement, and it's what I always thought a good, powerful 4WD car ought to be able to do.
People are obsessed with powerslides, but seem to think it's oversteer they're after, rather than the sideslip itself.
Very nice, Nick

Re: RS3 Drifts...
Here's a good video of Chris Harris putting the Golf R sideways (at the end):

That's all very nice, but here's Mark Higgins showing how it should really be done (5:00):
