996 turbo calipers

Hi all,
Just a little question which has probably been answered already. I am upgrading from the stock brakes to the monoblock versions. For the fronts I already have the 993 big reds and would like to know if the 996 turbo calipers are a straight fitment to the brackets used for the 993 turbo and if there are any mods for the brake lines.
Many thanks
Simon

I noticed the other day that someone was selling a set of 996 front calipers and brackets on the S2fourm for £325 which seemed like a good price (assuming they are in good condition of course).

Hi
Thanks Tom, I actually already have the 996 turbo calipers and the boxster S for the rears.
Fitting is a bit more complicated than I first thought. I bought the carriers from VRS and genuine correct bolts from design 911 and set about fitting them. The bolts need modifying at the rear for both carriers and calipers (too long) but the rest is fairly straightforward. For the fronts the brake lines need modifying as the 993 turbo calipers have the brake line feed towards the bottom of the caliper whereas the 996 turbo is in the middle - so 3 cm approx less. The bolts also need modifying a little. I ran out of time so left the original configuration for the moment and will try again later on! I bought some Techart wheels for a great price a couple of years ago from Germany and have now fitted them with Vredesteins all round. I'll send in a photo when I get chance - they are very nice!
