If you have a local friendly garage, they should be able to get you a remanufactured one (by bosch, don't touch the ebay ones) . I paid about £60 each for mine while the Audi price was about 4 times that.
Daytona RS6 C5 Avant. Viper'd, Billies, Waggers, MTM box brain, C6 stoppers, xcarlink, R8 coolant cap (woohoo)
///M3 E46 | XC90 (V8, natch) | Passat GTE | RR Classic V8 flapper

Thanks for that. Where do they source them from as I can't find any info on remanufactured ones...?

Mine came straight from Bosch, with holograms and all, presumably via a trade parts supplier. Have you tried TPS?

Found this link. Dates a bit, but might help:

http://forum.rs246.com/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=46144

The part seems to be Bosch 0 280 213 017 or 0 986 280 139.

VW part number 034 133 471 N
Porsche part number 951 606 125 02

This MAF was also used in the 968.
