Maybe an RS2?

Post by RS6Steve » Tue Aug 31, 2010 7:58 pm

Hi all, I don't really hang around in this part of the forum much, but recently saw an RS2 for sale. Think I have fallen in love....

What things should I be aware of? And an indication of running costs would be helpful!!!!

I currently run and RS6 and this would be an addition to the family, if I can get my head around it!!!! :-)

I may be shot down here but I would say that whatever your starting price the RS2 will end up costing you minimum £15k by about 18 months ownership...whether you buy cheap at £10k and spend the time putting her right or buy at £14k and do a few small jobs.

This doesn't include tax, insurance (now qualify for classic btw) and day to day running costs of course, I'm talking the car's purchase price plus parts and labour.

There are many things to look for (common issues) but I'm sure they have been covered in a separate thread somewhere.

Hope this helps

Tom
