I want to stop using the RS2 over the winter as it is costing a fortune in spring repairs due to Scotlands lovely heavy road salting and buy a runabout to take the abuse.
So, I've tried a few places for Classic insurance so I can use the NCD on the runabout but most seem to want the car to either be 20 years old or garaged. Given that I already have another car in the garage and the car is 15 years old can anyone recommend somewhere what would cover the car for a reasonable cost for no more than 3k miles a year?

RE: RS2 on a Classic Insurance Policy
I'm with Adrian Flux (think it's underwritten by Equity Red Star) and paying £300 a year on a classic policy, 5k miles a year. It is agreed that the car is garaged but not sure if they would cover you if it was left outside, give them a call.

I'll try and dig mine out mate but I'm pretty sure I'm with PH specialist insurance on a classic policy and it doesn't have to be garaged it's limited to either 3K or 5K miles and cost approx £ 280 with breakdown cover
