In the real world, how fast ?

I wonder sometimes about the bigger questions to do with important things like beer etc, but this minor thing keeps cropping up in my head.
How fast is an RS2 really, now in a scientific study (road angel pro ) mine does 0- 60ish in the same time as my mates standard RS4, which recently was returning 4.6 sec at a strip so thats pretty good I guess. Now as far as top speed is concerned, on my private test track I chickened out at a speed faster than the limiter is meant to be set at and the old girl was still increasing, so whats the gearing good for ?
As people who know, know (can I do that ?) I'm not a boy racer but I am an engineer and don't believe the figures Audi put in the blurb, so chaps how fast are they ?
