Non starter

Since a week or two my RS2 has been more and more difficult to start, especially when warm. Now it wont start at all. It turns over, the fuel pump is working but it wont start. And it won't 'bump' off either.
I've heard it could be the Hall sender. Any other similar cases? It's going to the garage tomorrow, but any ideas would be welcome.

Thanks

PS anyone know this car? http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1562016.htm

Sims to Simrs

Sounds like it has all the sensible upgrades, esp the brakes. Not too keen on the steering wheel or the dash trim. Seats do look well used..

Yes I thought the seat looked a little shiny! Mine has 230000kms and the seat's as good!! Must admit carbon dash and the later steering wheel look much better.

He's selling because he's had his first baby - that's why I bought mine! Horses for courses, I suppose

Good lad! Exactly what I did. Was looking at the idea of a 964/993 but knew that there was only realistically a year or so in it before I'd need something to put a push chair in....how quickly things change eh?!

Poor guy, he'll be driving a Xsara Picasso before long

It looks as though it's the hall sender. Not finished yet, but no signal given from hall sender when checked. Hopefully should be fixed when part arrives. Pity the Audi dealer didn't change it in March 2009 when the cam belt was changed!!

Got my car back. Was the Hall Sender. Maybe an idea to change it with the the timing belt as the unit itself isn't too expensive. If i'd have known before I would have certainly done it 11 months ago with the timing belt!!!
Anyway, running like a dream again and after 3 weeks without the RS2 one appreciates it even more!!!

These Audi dealer don't change sensible things that would involve an understanding of how an Audi works !
Happy motoring
