RS2 for sale (LHD)

Post by 54Kab » Fri Dec 18, 2009 12:34 am

Hi All

-It's a sad day for me :( but here goes...

June 1995 build. Metallic Black. Originally supplied by Saottini Porsche/Audi main dealer in Brescia Italy (it still has the original dealer sticker on rear panel). Original bill of sale to Mr Guizzi and EVERY bill/invoice to date are included.

Mr Guizzi sold the car (along with a Ferrari) to car dealers 'Bridgemans' of Notting Hill. The proprietor of Bridgemans (James M****) registered the car and I bought it from him in January 2002. In summary, the car has had one Italian owner (1995-2001) -a few months with the importer, and myself.

Spec - as well as the standard (and/or UK spec) this car has the later '3 spoke' steering wheel, Passenger Air Bag, Climate Control, Full Black Leather Recaros and Carbon Pack. The car has been regularly maintained (as verified by the large file of invoices). Mostly at Audi, but also AmD (Bicester) as well as local specialists. The oil has been changed every 3-4,000 miles and ALWAYS run on Super unleaded.

A fantastic car, and only for sale due to new job / company car. I've personally done 100k miles in this car in 8 years, and its as good today as when I bought it. The interior is particularly good, the [full leather] seats are in better condition than cars I've seen with low mileage. It's now done 138k Miles / 221k KMs - and remains in factory specification.

If I was to keep the car I would get the wheels / calipers refurbished (the wheels aren't curbed at all, just need re-paint), sort the few minor scratches but that's about it.

- Asking £ 9,000 ono

I WILL TAKE BETTER PICTURES IN THE NEXT FEW DAYS :o

Thanks
Steve Mortimer

That's interesting....a passenger side airbag. Was this ever available on the RHD RS2? Pretty sure mine doesn't have one.

Nice motor. I would imagine this would be very attractive to someone on the continent, with the LHD and the £/€ exchange rate the way it is. You might want to try placing it on here also?

www.mobile.de

There's a red RS2 on there with 370k km on the clock!!!!!!!! Just shows that mileage of 150K+ shouldn't put you off buying one of these

LHD Audis had considerable more options available on order including passenger side airbag, heated seats, more colours, interior wood option, climate control etc.
When I ordered mine I tried to get Audi UK to build mine with some of these options but they would not.

Hi Steve ive seen your RS2 parked up a couple of times whilst visiting relatives in the *****s Park area and it certainly looks like a good clean car... James (rallye james) on here got a good deal selling it his lhd to a German (iirc) buyer via Pistonheads. Best of luck with the sale.
RS2 s yep ive had a few... it started with a Brilliant Black lhd then a Polar Silver and finally an RS Blau.

-cheers Al.

I'm planning to put it on Pistonheads but I've had my '72 911 on there for a few weeks (also LHD) and am getting loads of emails from France, Belgium, Germany etc.... -they're all asking loads of questions and wanting numerous pictures of specific areas, -it's a full-time job to keep on top of it. The thought of doubling the effort with the RS2 doesn't appeal at the moment!

I hate selling cars, it's a pain in the arse... but then I don't need to tell you that... -have you sold the Polar one ?

regards
Steve
