Rear Brake Pad/Disc Combo Advice Required

Just wondering if anyone can provide advice on which rear discs & pads to put on the RS2?

I've read some historical posts on this topic and it appears that the Ferodo DS2500 pads are the top pick.

Advice on discs is varied, tried getting my head round the 'big red' upgrade but gave up on that. I have EBC discs on the front (not sure if that is the brand or distributor?) and the only problem there has been the well documented squeel when you come to a standstill. They are not drilled or vented.

Not an urgent change as they seem to have about 5k in them but I need to replace the disc carrier which means stripping the wheel down so was contemplating getting all done at once.

Also I need a new rear wiper motor but have been quoted £145 for the part alone, anyone know where I can get one of these a bit cheaper? Seems expensive to me.

Since this morning's post I have been offered the following:

Mintex or Pagid pads at £50

Bremtech vented rear discs at £210 for the pair

Seems pretty reasonable to me....any thoughts??

Just need to make sure the rear discs are correct. After several have had false starts with porsche rear discs that were meant to fit. Most go OEM at about £210 each.

Independant Porsche specialist Ray Northway in Reading, who I've known for years, was unable to ID my old discs with any confidence. "They look like..." was as close as he could go. And he ran an RS2 for a while!

I'm with alastair, get the proper ones and be amazed how much better they are than what you have now. Even the handbrake will suprise you.
