Only just noticed Tom1's immaculate RS2 for sale on Pistonheads!

It was a real shock to see it on there. The car is amazing and any prospective buyers would be well advised to get round there soonish. Tom is a UR-owning Audi aficianado and following his - and his car's - history in these hallowed pages you just know that nothing is too much for his cars.

Good price, too.

Tom's attention to detail was illustrated to me when I was on here bragging about having my wheels refurbed and he came back to say he was going to have his done and ask if I knew the correct colour code. Needless to say, I hadn't even considered it.

So while mine was standard, his is even more standard. (There's one for the Grammar Police...)

I've got the colour chart out on the wheels and they seem perfect so whatever it was, it was correct(another for the grammer police).
Hope you've still got the original seat bits, I've got a man ready to build them back in, he does vintage MGs so he should be used to the old stuff (his work is stunning).
Its' in RK, at present, having some decent oil, de-knocked(suspension) and the brakes sorted properly.
Cheers

Next time I'm down seeing my folks I'll bring the old seat covers and mats and a memory stick with the service history and a bunch of pics.

You can also have the previous owner's magazine stash that I unearthed today.

Sadly, they're all car mags with RS2 articles.

Most of them are in the downloads on here already, Al. I'll scan the couple that aren't and post them.

Are you breakfasting at Goodwood in June?

Ah, the delight that is The Goodwood Breakfast Club. It's usually the first Sunday of the month - except deep winter - at Goodwood Motor Circuit (near Chichester on the A27). In June there are two; the first on 7th June is Supercars and the second, on the 28th, is Driver's Cars. The RS2 qualifies for both themes, and most others now I think about it.

Bring yours T, Al will bring his and, who knows, if Tom hasn't sold his by then, there may be three together.

The cars on display are good and the car park is a joy to behold. It's just lots of nice like-minded people and their triffic cars.

If some of my "clients" cough up some dosh I'll get the polish out and bring the old girl up and show off my new auxillary radiator/brake pads/suspension joints etc. (possibly tyres by then or I could finish them off on the track??).
You could bring the bits and bobs along, how about the 28th?
Cheers
