Thief proof bolts for RS2 wing mirrors?

Post by darkhorse1210 » Thu Apr 02, 2009 11:13 am

Before buying my RS2 I read a post where an RS2 owner had his wing mirrors nicked and had to spend £000s to replace them. Now I can see how this happened, the mirrors are bolted on the outside and are easily accessible to anyone with an allen key.

Has anyone come up with a good solution to this problem? At the moment I'm scared stiff of leaving the car anywhere in case someone whips the mirrors off and don't need this paranoia!

take your doorcard off and thread lock them. I've got teardrops on my corrado and the allen key is actually a clamp.

Lee this sounds like a solution but if I'm honest I don't know what 'thread locking' means, can you give me some more detail please. Ta
