aircon hose

In process of replacing hose that goes from compressor to drier.
I've removed nut at compressor end, but can't budge nut next to dryer.
Penetrating oil is a no go as nut is sideways on, and I don't think it would soak into thread, as nut is a biggy.
Bit of heat  not sure, nut is alloy along with thread.
I fear if I apply any more leverage, I could shear the neck that leads to the dryer. Don't need any more expense, after paying out for hose
Any ideas chaps? Anyone done this before?

Steve,

Heat it gently and allow the heat to soak in. It will move with patience.

Patience worked in the end.
Patience is something you need in abundance with these cars :)

Cheers.

Just completed aircon hose replacement.
What do you reckon Audi would of charged me for doing job??
Front bumper off, intercooler off crossmember off.
Hose from compressor to drier off.
Then hose replaced, and everything reattached.
Parts cost me £119 for hose  and 50p each for two 0 ring seals.
Labour, just the usual skin off my knuckles :x
Just want to feel smug about saving myself some cash
