In the spirit of sharing knowledege...
I just dismantled the driver's seat of my RS2 today to find out what was causing the outside of the seat to offer little support. I thought that the right hand side bolster foam had disintegrated, but it was actually not this and very simple to fix.
Just in case your car has done the same...
What i found when i opened it up (see http://alexbentley.co.uk/library/pdf/re ... -guide.pdf for instructions on how to get at the bolster - seats are very similar) was that the problem lay not with the foam bolster which was fine, but with the small tubular frame that provides the support for the bolster. It had cracked at both points where it was welded to the frame, but was very easily fixed by screwing a piece of threaded bolt in where it had sheared off near the electric seat switches. This provided enough support for the bolster to work as good as new and the seat is now back to it's supportive self.
Hopefully this little tip might help somebody.
