Tyres - Toyo Proxes T1R 225/45/17

Just got a good deal on these tyres - Toyo Proxes T1R 225/45/17
Just under £100 each.
The 235's just rubbed on the front arches so 225's it was.
Anyone tried these before?

I have the Proxes on my Sunbeam Lotus and they seem good. Can't comment on how they would be on the Audi though as it weighs 600kgs more...........

I got a good deal on Kumho KU31s earlier this year (£55 a piece, from a 'source' and had them fitted when my wheels were refurbed. I have seen them for £70 from other sources though) and must comment that they have been really good. Grip in Dry or Wet is way better than the old Dunlops and the ride is improved too.

I have Toyo Proxes on my VW Lupo GTI and they grip like hell but to be fair the car only weighs 950kgs!!

I fitted Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetrics last week having seen some excellent reviews for them

I have them on my RS2 in 235 which is a bit to wide, they rub in front when the steering wheel is completely turned.
They're good on the dry, maybe a soft side wall but I still need to test them more!
