did this belong to Derek Bell at some point? he had one.

I thought Audi UK still has the first RS2 in Blighty.... it was in Glasgow Audi museum for a while with only 315 miles on it last time I saw it.

CRACKING looking car you have there.... if I had 12k....

Thats interesting D Bell had one, I didn't know that, mine was first registered to David Lloyd of the fitness clubs fame! Not quite the same.

The story behind Derek Bell having one is interesting - all of the original RS2 owners prior to delivery were invited to a day out at MIRA to put the car through its paces along with some other fast Audis. Derek Bell was one of the drivers chosen by Audi to demonstrate the RS2 speed and handling. He was driving a left hand drive RS Blue one and took turns taking passengers around the various circuits - high speed circuit, handling circuit and the hill circuit. I chatted with him as he drove and he said he was so impressed by the RS2 that he had bought one in the same colour.
Quite an experience being driven round by him - you literally had to hold onto the grab handle and brace yourself in the seat to stop being thrown out of the seat. Quite a few times I thought there is no way we are going to make it around the corner . He would go around the handling circuit twice - the first time quite fast and chat about it and then just before he did the second lap he would say now let's see how fast the car can really go around the handling circuit. Most of us enjoyed it - however at least one person found it a bit too much - Derek had to stop the car with one passenger on the hill circuit who threw up in the back seat.

That looks GREAT. What a charismatic car the RS2 is. I wish I still had mine. I have a 6 Plus now and very nice it is too but no RS Audi has the raw appeal of an RS2.

Good luck with your sale. If I had the space........
