Parts/Advice needed for RS2

Hi guys,

Help needed desperately!!!

My old girl (L reg LHD silver RS2) needs some work. Namely a new steering rack and gaiters and a brake accumulator, can anyone help?


Is the steering rack a standard Audi 80 or S2 unit or more specialised?
It is easy to fit?
Does anyone have one up for grabs?
Same questions for the brake accumulator.

Any help greatly appreciated, cheers.

Steering rack is unique to S2/RS2 (ABY/ADU engine code only), retail is £1147.73+VAT part number 895 422 065C) from Audi but you should be able to find a specialist who would do it cheaper. Or you could rebuild your original if you don't use the car everyday.
For those that have done it before it isn't a difficult job but it is very labour intensive. If it's your first one you will swear alot.

Brake accumalator, costs about £200incVAT and is a dodle to fit, there is a chassis break on the lhd part number for the accumalator so be careful when ordering.
