They don't make RS2 shockers, you have to buy S2 fronts and S4 avant rears then do the mod for the bilstien rear, is easy, very easy with a lathe, or take to machine shop. all you have to do is machine a new groove 13mm lower down for the circlip, spring platform then sits on circlip in correct position.
rear shocks are so i'm told the ones for an S4 avant,
Part numbers are: front F4-PE3-3086-H0
Rear F4-BE3-6212-H1

I have these fitted to mine. much better!!

I think BOGE were the OEM shocks so they should be plug and play if you can hold of a set.

Yes. I have the koni setup. I cannot off hand recall the settings but will find them if anyone is interested.

The simple answer is OEM all round.

If you only want a small increase in performance get the Konis, if you want a vast improvment then get the Bilsteins.
The modification is not difficult.

I could supply them all done if you want?

Had Konis on my UR, had two sets, had Bilsteins on for the last six months and it like having a different car! feels tighter, nimbbler and as for grip just unbeleivable difference!
And they don't shake your fillings out! with original springs, perfect.

Interesting comments about the bilsteins Rob - I have recently fitted Konis to my MB, maybe I should of tried Billys. I would'nt say i found the Konis massively different to the stock Boges

Dunc, I thought exactly the same!!

Get some Billys and put the Konis on ebay!!

My UR is just transformed, feels like it should do, all the time i've had it...13 years...wallowing around makes me mad thinking of what I've been missing!

Rob,i already have the OEM all around which have done around 20.000kms about now.Im interested in changing them in the future but want to keep the OEM springs as here in Greece lowering the vehicle may result in great damage as the roads are quite bumpy and full of holes.Im irritated about the OEM shocks because after my last big service my rear shocks have developed squicky sounds everytime i take the car in and out of a garage or have to go over a leveled bump.It strikes me as something unacceptable with original equipment thus i payed 1250euro for springs and shocks at audi dealers.I would like to maintain the height of the car but get something stiffer for the curves as well,as long as it doesnt make the car irritating and annoying at long jurneys either. If the bilsteins are the way to go,i guess the solution you offer of getting them preped for me is most appreciated. How much would the cost for the complete set be?and also shipping to Greece?

Finally what is the age of a set of shocks?after how many kms should i concider a change?

many thanks

Rob my email is : vasilis3690@gmail.com you can contact me there also

cheers

No experience with Bilsteins. So no comment. Konis for 10 years S2/RS2 no issues. Settings on RS2 Rear 1/4 turn from softest setting Front 1 turn in from softest setting.
IIRC Scillyisles had issues with his rear Konis but re reading his S2 forum post thay were 1/4 turn off firmest setting.

i went a couple of days ago to measure the life of my OEM shocks.Turns out they are 100% ok all 4 of them,so no need to change them. However im going to be changing my 4 front bushes as they have had enough and so make sure everything is bolted on correctly this time...
