Have you seen the price on this!

Post by B18DRS » Wed Apr 12, 2006 3:08 pm

Check out http://dealerservices.autotrader.co.uk/176/stock.htm for what must be the cheapest, lowest mileage RS2 left on earth.

I've rung them and apparently its genuine, been standing in their workshops for 5 years! OK so its a left hooker but what is it really worth?

I'd have thought with this mileage £15k would be possible even for LHD?

What do you lot think? I was hoping to sell mine soon but if its only going to fetch £8k I don't think I'll bother!

The car is a shed, it needs the best part of £6k spending on it in parts alone. The owner bought it then went to work overseas and left it with the garage.
I went and viewed it with a mind to but it.
I have seen better condition RS2's with over 100k on them

Just so I'm not repeating myself.

then there is the labour for all the parts.

If someone wants to buy it and let me rebuild it for them then fine I am happy to go over to Melton Mowbray as it is only down the road from me.

The one at £21k is a dealer rip off! It was bought from the previous owner for £17k 2 weeks ago - just before I got to it!!!!

How about a reasonably priced motor Sir?

Post by r13ras » Tue Apr 18, 2006 2:08 pm

Ok so mine may not be £8k but it's straight, honest and has had all the work needed by the standing joke. Asking £11k but willing to negotiate for a good home. Come and have a look?

View the details on pistonheads

Best wishes, Rowland :D

ps also selling A4 Cabrio (wifes), details under A4 on pistonheads. S4 looks on a 2.4 cruiser.

s2forum posting wrote:Brakes (the caliper's are all corroded and the discs are shot), suspension (and all bushes), all hoses and belts on the engine and I would (if I bought it) strip the engine due to it being stood for so long.
Then there is the bodywork (very dull) it has a few dents and then there is the moss.
Tyres are buggered.

And possibly anything else that is made of rubber will have perished (or will do very soon when you start using it again).

Not much needs doing really!!!
hope that helps?

apparently the reason it was so cheap is that it needed alot of money spending on it to get it back to a decent state
Bullshit baffles brains
