Handbrake Option-solution

Post by VaudiGR » Tue Nov 08, 2005 2:21 pm

Hello everyone,
i have been talking to marlin company in England about the construction of some special adapters for the RS2 993G2 rear brake calipers that will incorporate the handbrake cables into the brake calipers and thus use the rear brake pads for handbrake solely by adjusting the cables on the calipers.
here is a link:

they say that if 10 rs2 owners agree to buy, they will produce it for us.I dont know prices yet,but im waiting for that part.

Not too keen on clamping rear pads to disc for prolonged periods............in wet U.K. with under utilised rear brakes c/w front its a recipe for leaving your pad surface on the disc or even seizing them if car sitting for a while.
