having tried pretty much everything to get to the bottom of my idle problems I though I would give it one more go. I tried disconnecting the ISV and lo and behold the car idled - albeit a little high at 900 rpm.

Does anyone know the ramifications of running the car with this disconnected? I have tried another ISV previoulsy and the problem persisted.

clean the Throttle valve potensiometer(butterfly valve).
