Induction kit opinions??

Just wondering about popular opinion. I have had these in the past and associated them with MAF failure. However there is new kit out there that is much better. On a downside I am guessing they will be very noisy on a RS2???

Would welcome thoughts.

About six months ago I fitted the Dahlback one. I'm not sure how much of a difference it made but then again I got rid of the airbox such a long time ago I can't remember what it was like before, but it is noisey in a good way (for me at least) and you do sound as if you are going faster. It is also very well thought out and tidy piece of kit and easy to fit.

No problems with the MAF (as yet) and I believe that due to the "afterburn cycle" of the MAF's wire ellement any build up of oil from your oiled cloth cone filter is burnt off.

I am also pondering the idea of following a few others in getting more air to the filter by fitting a set of Porsche 993 Brake Cooling Ducts (or similar) to replace the RS2 fog lights and running the air feed to the cone filter (instead of the brakes).

We shall see.

Cheers Angus,

Still not sure about the noise as I like listening to the Miltek too much. If you had your motor from std how do you rate your mods. I am surprised at how swift mine is as STD? and thats comparing with a previous 420 BHP RS4.

The aditional noise only punctuates and enhances the underlaying sound of the exhaust!

The mods where down over 6 years ago all at one time and I just cant remember what the car was like before. The best mod was having it remapped by MRC six months ago which just transformed the car and made it so much better in every way. If I was doing it again I dont know what I would do differently, maybe keep the stock turbo and stock cams so as to keep the lag down, but I would miss all that top end extra power.
