Just tried out and RS2 and compared it to my 1999 S4 which I recently sold. Different animals!!
When the RS2 boost arrives, it arrives!! However this vehicle never really got upto temperature ( oil guage lower left of main dials) . Should I be concerned or is this normal. History also patchy.
Any help appreciated

I use and always have used on the car since new Mobil 1 - I find the max temp it gets to normally is about 90C on say a hot summers day in traffic.

thats not too bad. ive used Millers CFS 10W60 which is good when you are giving it a thrashing and 10W40 Morrisons fully synth which works very well but on a hard drive warms up quicker than the millers

Same here with synta gold 5-40w. You really need to trash these cars to see the oil temp rise much.
Getting a little oil use now so I will switch to mobil 1 15-50w for the summer.
Much tappet noise with 5-40w Scillyisles ? My previous S2 was a mobil 1 5-40w only car every 6k and could get noisy.
