Cat replacement pipes

Post by jbyrne » Sun Feb 06, 2005 12:40 am

Just recieved a milltek s/s exhaust system for my RS2, however milltek do not stock the cat replacement pipes. First of all, does anyone know where i can get these pipes, and secondly, is it worth replacing them from a performance point of view ?

Regards
John

Bit more performance, more sound and the ability to throw flames out of the back if that floats your boat. Not sure who is selling them now but I hollowed out the standard cats which isn't ideal but does reduce the back pressure. Any custom exhaust place should be able to knock up some pipes for you for next to nothing. I know many on www.s2forum.com have replaced their cats with pipes (lots are running completely bespoke large bore systems too) so it may be worth asking there. DougRS2Coupe on here had some bypass pipes sitting in his garage IIRC.

Try giving DavidP20V a PM - he has them on his RS2 I think. Not sure where he got them.
Hope that helps
