Porsche monoblock brake calipers

Post by Pete_RS2 » Tue Dec 21, 2004 10:35 am

I was wondering if it was possible to replace the OE RS2 calipers with Porsche 996/Boxter monoblock calipers front and rear or would the 304x32mm RS2 front disc be too wide ?

Since these calipers don't have stainless steel pad guide plates like the RS2 ones they wouldn't suffer from the corrosion issue with the plates lifting & causing pad binding issues, etc.

The best place to try and fathom out the different Porsche callipers is probably here:

The answer is I think so ! In my experience the S2 forum may be able to give you a better answer for this type of question as many more of the owners there have upgraded to porsche brakes.
