Post by Rob20vurq » Fri Oct 22, 2004 9:00 pm

Just spoke to Mark the other day, booked mine in for a new map job.
It will sort my <beep> mpg out at last! £55.00 for 200 miles is starting to piss me off!
And it will come back with lots more power!!!!!!!!!!!
He's mega busy at the moment, after a certain magazine article. I carn't get in untill 29th november!! that will only mean I use £500.00 in optimax 'till then!
I will let you know the results!!!!
Rob

Must admit Rob I dont see much more than 200 miles from a full tank around town. On a long run 230-250 if I am being good.
I am not sure more power via a remap will aid your wallet but of course I could be wrong. Let us know

Take heart Rob, Mark has just finished my total engine rebuild and sorted things out a treat, currently doing 22 mpg and average still rising gently with mixed conditions driving, extremely conscientious individual who took loads of time to make certain I was happy with the job, I look forward to reading your post after Nov 29th

Its sorted!!!!! Mark has had my car for two weeks!!! The main problem was my car had a S4 ecu? why I don't know! so s4 map holds injectors open for ages because they have little injectors, put it in RS2 and tell those big injectors to stay open and thats why It's been doing 15mpg!!

Clever bloke that Mark, he has sorted the s4 ecu to run my my car perfectly! changing allsorts of maps fuel, ignition, boost.
The result is amazing!! goes like <beep> of a shovel and get this:
35.5 mpg!
Thats at 80 mph on A1 and then on to A roads.
I am so happy!!!!
Recomend Marks services,
Rob.

Rob
Are you sure he did not simply substitute a diesel engine when you were not looking 35mpg !!!!!!! Only joking. However I am puzzled how all that was achieved with the S4 ecu and give more power ? and better mpg ?
Anyway he sounds like a good contact. Where is he based ?
I will wait until the lambda is switched prior to deciding on remaps etc.

Could S2 tuner/Mihinea comment ?
