Hmmm, the Volcano Black RHD with FSH & bills caught my attention more. Serviced by AMD too! This 142k example known to anybody as sounds promising at £11,995. A '95, plate N184 EWD by the looks of it.

I wonder has it sat at the Audi dealer in Inverness (Highland Audi) all that time, as it is them selling it, or has it come back to them.

Full Audi dealer backup, they should be able to sort it before sale?

The car is original factory option mother of pearl white - I spoke to AUDI UK who confirmed it was the only car of that colour to be imported into the UK.

I saw it 2 years ago at Highland Audi Iverness.....it was on 4 axel stands ...getting the wheels re-painted.......the car was parked behind a workshop, full of green mold, all the edges of the doors and wheel arches were chipped and there was rust everywhere. I complained to the salesman on two counts....1. I had travelled all the way to Iverness to see the car and it could not be driven and 2. Such a rare car is such a rare colour should have been better cared for by an AUDI dealer.

On the basis of the above I decided to walk away. It was up for sale for £26k. From memory it had 3 owners but had lots of receipts and full service history.

Can you elaborate on the rust part?? If it's still for sale when I get back from hols on the 23 May I might go for a look and see how willing they are to negotiate.

Certainly no RS2 should have any serious rust problems as the shell is fully galvanised. Unless of course it has been crash repaired.
If the rust is just around chips etc. that have been neglected, that is not such a great problem.
I would imagine that the car was sold 2 years ago & hopefully got most of the previous issues sorted.
Certainly it is up for strong money so there should be quite a bit of room for negotiation on price. Also if you are serious about getting this car, let them know that you know that it was in a sorry state 2 years ago - so they care cut that previous caring owners crap & get them to throw you in a good comprehensive warranty instead.
I would still approach with extreme caution - if its not right just walk away.

Forget to mention the mileage was approx 47k 2 years ago so I suspect the car has been stood about for 2 years. Not very good for these cars....

In addition the mother of pearl white doesn't look as good in the 'flesh' as the photos.

Again I would approach with caution...
