Limited edition cars go through a much high rate of attrition late in life especially if they are expensive to keep in top condition. In the UK the best cars are worth around £20k, with a lot of 'dogs available for half that value. With a lot of competition in this market space, I think the values are static at best.

Guys and Galls,
I think we are all agreed that this car is a classic.. ...in the making. The model is only just coming around to 10 years old, so classic-car entusiasts have not even begun to look at it, I should think, but when they do we all know what a fantastic car they will find, don't we?
I was in the pleasant position recently of being able to consider buying an RS6 or RS4, but the thought of £60k or £40k vanishing in front of my eyes was unbearable, especially when in real terms the RS2 is JUST as good (and a much rawer car, more like the Ur-quattros). If its value is static, I am very happy, plus it cost me less than £20k in the first place, so that's the most I could "lose".
Yes the car is expensive to keep, but buying a new model is FAR more expensive (an RS6 will lose £50k+ in time), less exclusive, less satisfying and one day WE may end up as classic-car buffs, being long-term owners one of the very best classics.
