I have been informally trying to piece together a register of the RHD RS2s still in existence, with the view to perhaps trying to organise a few meets. If you have a RHD RS2 and would like to send a few details (colour, registration, any mods etc) please email me.

Alan - you don't happen to own a Porsche as well do you? I know of a green RS2 through a friend in central Scotland - I think he said it had red interior!(I may be wrong though) and he's very jealous of it!

I would guess your friends name could be Adam?

ps. the RS2 interior is Black leather.

Audi actually made ~180 cars for the UK not 150. Of these it is estimated that approximately 100 or so still exist as the rest have either been written off/ scrapped etc.

Putting my anorak on, I believe that it was exactly 172 RHD that were built.

But you are correct, most dealers think that there are only 80-90 left. [img]images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img]

It is Adam - Small world - my dad has bought a couple of things off you over the years(I won't give away where - in case you don't want where your car might be kept known).

what about LHD as well? why discriminate? okay so how many left of the 172/186 uk cars, but there must be a fair few LHD in this country now eg mine.

I think there were about 2500 made which included the RHD ones. So it's probably about 2200 LHD or so.
LHD cars were available to a much more varied spec and for example had a better colour choice.
I believe all RHD cars (with the exception of 1) that came to the UK were the same basic spec just a choice of whether you wanted leather or leather/alcantara and which colour.

some of you know me from RS2list. My turn to put on the anorak [img]images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img], there were 2891 RS2 in total. Initially they said it'd be 2200, but it wasn't a limited run, and demand was higher than expected.

Hi, I'm a recently new RS2 owner. Got a nice nigaro blue one - 68,000 miles and in very good nik. Can't wait to see off those boy racers!!!
