Boost wont build up, when mine went it just didnt feel like the car was pulling. hey presto changed it and 21 psi of boost and lots of power.

Sometimes, depending on how you apply power and at which rpm and load, you'll have peak boost but it cant hold it. And the other problem is overspeeding the turbo, cause the ECU tries to hold the boost up.

I forgot the noise.
If you are running on conical filter, you could hear a ciclical noise when you release the throttle. Like
"TTCCHHIII. . .TThhiii...tthhii...thchi..." Like a normal discharge noise plus echoes of it in lower volume.
