you can get crazy over boosting where boost pressure holds the wastegate shut all of the time.

It can stick and boost peaks too high because it cant react properly

just wastegate spring regulated boost if stuck with no boost to back of the wastegate

Also as the Motronic notices the crazy boost, then it goes to limp mode, and won't give full boost.

This valve is usually sticky due to breather oil. You can revive it using a solvent, and clicking it back and forth manually with 12V. However, it will stick again if you don't get rid of the actual problem which is breather oil (catch can / cyclone).

Real problem is the breather oil. This is oil spray which comes from the engine with high boost, in stock RS2 it is redirected to intake, to make the car environment friendly. The oilspray causes intake hoses to become oily, making IC work less efficiently. The worst thing is that oil in the intake air causes detonation (knocking), as it lowers the effictive octane rating of the intake air. And it makes ISV and WGFV sticky.

To get rid of it, you need to take away the recycling and direct breather oil to a catch can, but then you'll have to keep emptying the catch can. Another option is a cyclone, which removes the oil from the intake, and returns it to the engine.

If you are having your car tuned, ask the tuner for solutions to this problem -it will get worse when you tune the car, and use higher boost.

i remember something like this from rs2 list.pictures.do you think i can do it bymyself ? is it hard to do a catch can? or is it sold as a bolt -on kit?

timucin if you have a word with mark h you can make an oil catch tank that drains back to the sump.

an oil cyclone is a good idea tho since its is kept under vacuum and so there will be positive crank case ventilation which helps to reduce piston blowby and increas HP output
