Hi,
Has anyone ever had their clutch replaced on the RS2?
If so, how much did it cost?
Also did anyone try an AP racing replacement or other aftermarket upgrade clutch puck ?
Reason I'm asking .... I think mine is slipping. I think!

Yes - the previous owner had the clutch replaced. I'm sure the receipt is in the bundle I've got at home, I'll have a look tonight and see if I've got the part number and costs.

Ive heard good things about the sachs sinter clutch. Its possible to do the clutch change yourself.
Need new release bearing and the clutch. Parts are roughly £300 then labour on top unless you do yourself.

Hi Mark
Clutch replaced in May 2000. Part no for clutch kit - 034198141CQ - cost £162 GBP + VAT.
Clutch master cylinder replaced in July 2000. Part no - 8A0721401 - £285.60 GBP + VAT.
Don't know what labour charge was as both of these jobs were done alongside other work.

Thanks everyone for that.
Clutch seems fine right now.. I just thought it might have slipped during some high RPM fun at the weekend.. perhaps not.

I have installed a sinther clutch in my car. And this is awesome... In tight slow traffic it's not very comfortable, but You get used to that... It's almost like an off/on switch... (You will of course learn how to operate this with ease in a short while)
I have done a coupple of things with my car, so that I had to replace the original clutch because that couldn't handle the HP's. (I had my car at a Street Legal meeting last year with the new clutch and it worked perfectly. -And I won the street car class, the mixed class and also I won the main event...)
I have app. 400HP now, but next week a bigger turbo is in place... Hopefully this is goint to be nice...
Sorry for my bad english writing...
Best regards from Norway.

Thank You...
Well, the upgrades I have made is a Digitech chip purchased in Germany, 3" exhaust, open air filter, pop of valve, KKK 26/27 turbo (the turbo is ready next week), 18 inches Radius R4 wheels, Pirelli F1 245/35-18 tires, sinther clutch and some other things...
I purchased the clutch at a Norwegian tuning store (
http://www.tuningspesialisten.no). It costed app. US$ 700,- + mounting wich I did myself. The exhaust is from Dahlbeck racing (
www.audituning.com) and costed app. $ 1800,-. The open air filter is from the same place, and this comes with a heat reflector (that is essential...)
No changes in the gearbox is done, so that the top speed is 290km/h.
This car has also the original option of bigger brakes.
And the car is not delivered with rings when new. It's 100% original in the exterior, exept for the wheels. The rails on the roof is also standard.
The interior is black and grey skin.
I can post some more pics later.
Do You have any place I can put up a movies of the car? Rather large files.... 250Mb or so...
