I have put my RS2 4 times on a dyno. Here are the results with some acceleration chrono.
I hope you will find them interesting, in particular the catalysator effect...

Original data
315hp at 6'500 rpm
410Nm à 3'000 rpm

Original chip, Hohenester exhaust system cat-back, K&N filter
(puce origine on the graph)
294hp à 6'780 rpm
422Nm à 4'100 rpm
Outside temp: 17°C, atmospheric pressure: 974mbar

Digit-Power chip, Hohenester exhaust system cat-back, K&N filter
(Digit avec cata on the graph)
351hp à 5'940 rpm
490Nm à 3'800 rpm
Outside temperature: 17°C, atmospheric pressure: 974mbar

Digit-Power chip, Hohenester exhaust system cat-back, emptied-out cats, a Greddy cone air filter with dynamic air intakes in the bumper
(Digit sans cata on the graph)
351hp à 6'050 rpm
482Nm à 3'450 rpm
Outside temperature: 8°C, atmospheric pressure: 971mbar

Mihnea chip, Hohenester exhaust system cat-back, emptied-out cats, a Greddy cone air filter with dynamic air intakes in the bumper
(Mihnea on the graph)
364hp à 5'500 rpm
601Nm à 3'540 rpm
Outside temperature: 17°C, atmospheric pressure: 970mbar

And there are the acceleration chrono from 140km/h to 180km/h, so the car start to 120 km/h, the speedometer is OK, verified with a GPS.

Hello Timucin,

The site RS2-club.net is the site of a club of RS2 and S2 drivers (I am the president of this club). We have 96 members (80 RS2, 16 S2).

Apart from that, I am making with my friend Michel a S2R only for the track, that's the project S2R ( http://www.rs2-club.net/S2R/Projet_S2R.html )

Michel has a garage and is a specialist of the 5 cylinders turbo.

I am working in Lausanne and living between Lausanne and Geneva.

well done on making a stunning and quick car

does this mean removing the cats does nothing for performance ?

You won't have more max horsepower without cat if you don't change the chip.
But as you can see on the graph, the curve is different and there is more hp under 3'500 rpm, the car is more pleasant to drive.

Here is the page for the filter, translate by google: Filter

And the dynamic admission: Admission

Nice data, thanks.

One thing though, those measurements (with cat and without) have been started at different RPM, so you really can't compare the lower end.

RS2 has quite low resistance cats, emptying them won't help. Replacing with a straight through pipe may give a bit more power.

Well, I'm not sure that the measurements have been started at different RPM.
I think it's more a "graphical" problem and I can confirm that you feel the difference with emptied cat. And in switzerland, it's better to keep the cat, even emptied.
