My other car runs with Eibach Springs and yellow Koni adjustable dampers. I find the Eibachs a little on the soft side. Have your considered H&R springs?

I was going to fit H&Rs to mine but checking their 2004 application details on their web site they aren't there any more - they were when I looked a month ago - we may have missed the boat... I've emailed them for confirmation.

I have H&R coilovers on my Corrado. They are a very well engineered package. H&R always specify the model to their coilover kits, so the dampers are matched to that vehicle. For example, they do seperate kits for the Corrado 16v, G60 and VR6 - as H&R specify different dampers for each. Koni on the otherhand just do one coilover kit, but their dampers are adjustable. I have a mate with Koni coilovers on his Corrado and that is definitely a little softer than mine on H&Rs. Both corner very flat and feel very controlled. The H&Rs do give a very firm ride, which is great on smooth surfaces but can be a little harsh on bumpy B roads in the UK.
Certainly coilovers give a wide range of height adjustment, but you then have to be careful of wheel contacts in the arch and watch the front spoiler.
AmD generally recommend using either H&R or Eibach springs with Koni T/A dampers if not going the coilover route. I was under the impression that Eibach's were generally a little harder than H&Rs in most VW/Audi applications - but I have no experience of either on a RS2.
It may be worth talking to or emailing AmD or QST on the subject as I am sure they will be able to give you guidance from their vast experience.
