I didnt think that one would since its a different design to the OE mount fitted on the S2's etc.

have you got one fitted to your motor already?

what are the improvements like?

Any problems?

If it is the case its all the better, means can get one fitted sooner and easier.

Alot of people give it Image Image Image that including 20v 5 cylinder motor owners.

I have yet to try it out. Based on the fact I haven't dropped the motor in yet Image

But what you want to use is:

The black one
Audi 96 2.8 etc

Excellent, keep me posted on this one. How soon will you be putting the engine back in?

an easy way to check is to see if the mount will fit inside the mounting bracket on the car's cross member if it does should probably be fine.

It does fit, and people have been using them on 5 cylinder motors!

Um... how easy to change.

I am trying to think if there is an allternative to taking off the crossmember?

Hypothetically speaking you could take the bracket off(in that pic) pop the old snub off and forcefully push the Apr snub mount on. put the bracket on and done. possibly you might have to take out the air box side headlight.

The most likely senario is that you have to take the bumper off and crossmember, The aux radiator is attached to the center support so you will have to unscrew the two 10mm nuts. Might be a good time to replace the rubber mounts while your at it. They have an upgraded metal/rubber one now. Possibly on your car, possibly not.

Which if your taking the crossmember off.. I sappose you could let it hang? because the headlight wiring is attached to it also.

So is the intercooler, So is the intercooler piping.

eeek

My naturally aspirated motor was a bit easier to work on.. not as much fun thought.

If you guys need help I probably can lend a helping hand of advice.

Motor might be going in as soon as this weekend, should of went in this past weekend but I was sent the wrong pilot bearing and now it's a big stupid issuse.
OT:

In the mean time I wired my sound system and currently enjoying 300 watts of music throught 8 component speakers

Sorry I am a bit giggley right now about it

Stereo sounds very nice, ive only changed the rear speakers in mine for the moment got other bits and pieces to do.

Changing the turbo tommorow so will be able to have a proper look again at mount.

Had the engine out for a rebuild last year and the easiest way will more than likely be by taking the front crossmember off but i will see.

Is the APR mount an easy fit onto the bracket? looked like it would need a bit of gentle persuasion to get it on there.

DOUG: Havent fitted a new one yet, was about to get the stuff sent off to powerflex to have them make one up specially for the S2/RS2's etc which would go straight on no problems. Want to see if one of these will fit now.

I can actually get this stuff so cheap, same size, same shape, same Durometer reading etc. Could go harder or softer too.

I just haven't found the time to market anything.
And the fact there are no Rs2/s2's here in the states unless you build one or have "connections"

To much on my mind to end up messing around with it.

The bits have gone off to Powerflex now for them to work out the best way to do it. And the K26/K27 is winging its way to me as we speak
