Thanks for the warm welcome First problem is mine's a LHD German import, so's the handbook. Found my way round most things but it would be nice to see a UK version. Before the big Audi shop opens tomorrow, has anyone got any suggestions - other than sell and buy RHD

Did you import it yourself? Just wondering how much hassle/cost it is to do that?

How do you find driving a LHD car in the uk? I'm half thinking of "cheap" LHD RS2 as a second car - I could probably live with it but I have to travel over a toll bridge everday - might need a stick with vouchers on the end!

One of my housemates, a few years ago, had a LHD Porsche 964 C2. Only problem was car parks and tolls. It is fine if you have a passenger . I drove it and it was fine being on the 'wrong' side. Then again I have adapted to RHD and LHD on the continent within a few miles....it is no problem really. The Audi 80 avant has major rear visibility problems but these are not apparent if you plant your right foot .

I spent a long time investigating iporting an LHD Porsche 968CS (before I bought the S2). The only hassle would have been negotiations with the seller but I have many German friends who offered me translation services when I was ready. Paperwork for importing is a doddle!

HMMMMM 968CS now that IS a track day car!!

I had an E30 M3 Convertible for about a year and planned on using it as an everyday car, but the LHD issue for me was a major problem, plus the fact the car was so twitchy it would look at water and try and spin! In the end I kept my company car and only used the M3 at weekends, some might be ok with a LHD but be careful it takes some getting used to in the UK.

No, the car had been imported some years ago by previous owner. As for driving it..... my main concern was that my right arm was never intended to be mated to a gear box! Yes, I would be quicker through the box in a RHD and road view, ahead, is restricted at times. All in all, I have no disappointments. Driving is still a pleasure.

Went to local Audi agent and was surprised to discover that a reprint is available for GBP5.00+
