rs2 engined UR Quattro by Quattro Coachworks

Been a while since ive been on the forums.
Had an rs6 c6 as some may remember but fancied something old skool !
Gotto say the rs2 engine and 6 speed gb are an absolute joy. The one in this has mtm software and has a hybrid turbo, good for 360ps or thereabouts. In a 1300kg car it shifts.
Will be going for an engine build on the adu lump over winter to 500ps and appropriate chassis mods such as coilovers on s2 subframe etc to match. Anyway sharing the love meantime and a big shout out to Ish and the boys at Quattro Coachworks for their expertise and attention to detail.

Quattro Coachworks have done some lovely stuff. The white B5 RS4 springs to mind. RS2 engine in an UR, great idea!

Hey Bam, longtime hope ur good.
Yes Quattro Coachworks, cant speak highly enough tbh. Genuine petrol heads, with a wealth of knowledge and attention to detail. More to the point they arent bump artists. Glad I went to them. The white B5 you mentioned was a complete bare metal rebuild so I was told. They have some super special cars and projects going on atm that will be proper showcases, worth a look up if you have time, they are very open and friendly. Not that im still not an MRC fan, but different cars for different specialists i guess.

Your name was mentioned on a recent 'ring trip, something about over rev fines, were your ears burning?
Last time I was looking for Coachworks website a couple of years back, it was pretty thin on the ground but I've seen their projects still pop up every now and then. I look forward to this one.

Yes mate. That was me last year i got 400euro in fines for over revving the poor little suzuki swifts at nurburgring. Not mis-shifting gear but more like downshifting too hard and getting carried away. Though Nudenut will testify I did overtake some WTCC cars in the process. No regrets haha.
Quattro coachworks dont have a website in fact their new address isnt even online I dont think, they just moved a few weeks ago to just past Toddington on the M1.
Their stuff is on
Facebook though.

Couple of Ingredients ready for the mixing pot below : Engines out, machine
Shop for boring + balancing this week Wossner pistons, etc, the car will have s2 subframes to support the KW v3's, Hi Spec six pot fronts four pot rears, wagner inlet, wagner sport quatty manifold, cutom made gt35 turbo one of only two made by Jonus Racing, and the intercooler is custom made rated to 700+ to give an idea of what this is all about. Too much power maybe but will have to suck it n see

Sounds like a very similar spec to my brothers S2 Coupe which is up at quattro coachwork right now, albeit with circa 450hp K26/7 hybrid. That is rapid so a 300kg lighter chassis with another 50hp should be epic
It's good to hear good feedback, my RS2 should be up there pretty soon as well.

your brother go by the name of "Sonic" by anychance Ross?
didnt wanna go chasing numbers but in the end we couldnt resist and wanted to build the baddest car we could within reason so were aiming for over 700ps on e85 or about 670whp now. uprated everything from custom driveshafts to rebuilt strengthend diff, larger rad fan, custom cams and racing lifters, titanium valves, bigger injectors, maxxecu, engine has been bored and crank balanced just finishing off the valve seating now. then the bulky stuff goes back in and then the hard work of plumbing everything in, braided hoses, metal l joints, everything is going to be top notch...then again all very costly too.

Ah I thought there was a progress update on this!
Yes, my brother does by the name of "Sonic", once upon a time he had a hair style that had a distinctive style and earned him the nick name. He doesn't have enough hair to pull off any 'style' now...
