I am! It's all come together pretty quickly, was a bit concerned that I hadn't really seen enough examples before taking the plunge but sometimes a car just feels 'right', and without looking at the clock you'd think Andy's had done 1/2 the miles it has - real credit to him and the previous owners, without a doubt.

Collecting on Saturday! :jump_clap:

Hi Matt

Hope the pick up went well yesterday. I'm sure you haven't stopped smiling since. She's a super car - and given how she looks and drives, it's hard to believe she's done as many miles as she has. A real testament to Audi build quality.

She was the first RS2 I went to look at and I have no regrets about the five years she spent on our fleet. I miss her - she's the only car I've ever wanted to buy back. teknobod has looked after her well and you should have lots of fun. Drive her - that's what she was born to do.

I wasn't in a position to buy her back this time but if you ever get fed up with her let me know.

Enjoy your new car. Whereabouts are you - it would be nice to see the old girl again if you're even down South.

Car arrived safely home yesterday - after an eye-openingly quick drive back! Immense mid-range acceleration, but never feels anything less than 100% secure.

Cobstar, I'm in the West Midlands, so a little further away from Kent ;) The RS will be daily driver, but I'm surpised how much of a pussycat it is around town, being easy to drive and see out of, and it never feels like a 'big' car either. I'm sure it'll be a long and happy relationship - no real plans, as there isn't much that needs doing! Will sort out the minor paintwork issues, maybe investigate a full blow-over to get it 100%, then just keep on top of the mechanicals.

Icing on the cake is that it has my initials on the plate (MJB). I'm not a great believer in fate....but sometimes you have to go with it :)

I'll keep an eye out for that NIP Matt! She is 'surprisingly' quick isn't she. :bigblink:
