New RS2 Owner
Mike
Polar Silver RS2.....great choice....I have one too
Don't worry about the mileage at all, mine now has 143k on the clock and is now running better than she has since I've owned her (7k miles or so).
I had to do the same with the tyres and the choice is really between the Goodyers Eagle F1 Asymmetric (XL), Pirellis or maybe the Vreds. I went for the Goodyears and very pleased with them. Via Camskill they can be picked up for <£100 each.
Another on here (Trevithick I think) has one with >150k on the clock so there's plenty of life left in yours I'm sure.
I know the smile you'e got permanently glued to your face!!
I've had to replace quite a lot of parts over the last 12 months so if there's anything you need any advice on drop us a note.

Hi,
Well done on becomming an RS2 owner. These cars are very special and well worth the effort to keep them on the road. Mileage should not be an issue once you look after it and service it properly. Had mine for 7 years and has done 190,000 miles and still going strong, no major work needed. Suspension takes a pounding and top mounts are a regular job. Brakes are a bit delicate and I have just updated them to GT3 monoblocks to avoid the brake corrosion problem. Servicing will never be cheap but you get what you pay for. If you have not already done so, find a local specialist to look after it, main dealers could be an expensive mistake. Watch out for obsolete parts, some things are already not available !
Good Luck.
