Andiroo,
I believe the guy in the states is running GT based Turbos. Here is a link. http://forums.audiworld.com/s4/msgs/1052412.phtml
He has an S4.

Hi Richard, the standard highflow Twin Bearing Garrett GT28 466541-0001 is about the same physical size as a K16, and is rated at 560bhp per pair Maybe heat issues have dictated that they need to be mounted higher up? Be interesting if you can get more details mate

Tio, those hybrid T35's (ala Escort Cosworth but two ) can be a serious bit of kit - surprised they're not HKS or Greddy though if he deals with the Exvitermini guys. Can you please get more info????????????

Andiroo,

The guy with the Garrett's up top works with this outfit http://www.awe-tuning.com/ The owner, Todd, is very good about responding to e-mails.

AWE also has a page featuring his car. The pictures on the site reflect the old K04 setup. He has a little more under the Bonnet now. Here is the link http://www.awe-tuning.com/pages/gallery ... /index.cfm

One very good reason for running turbos up top is accessibility. Dropping the engine to change out turbos sucks. In the States, there are constant reports of S4 OEM turbos (K03's) going pop.

Cheers,
R

I think they may be Greddy turbos actually, but I'm a bit oblivious. I'm not the smartest when it comes to details and how all the bits work, I just know it costs me loads but all works rather nicely!

the RS4 is ...easier to drive fast

Is this why John in his jazzed up RS4 can get round Castle Combe and catch me up in my standard RS2 I ashk myshelf?
