RS Blue Door trims

I know these are a weakness on the RS2 as the metal bit rusts - my front near side door trim has just given up the ghost... it came off in the car wash... (I know it's a sin to car wash the RS2... but..)

I was quoted £97 plus vat for the trim let alone painting and fitting from Audi Guildford - does anyone know any cheaper alternatives - or is this the norm?

Try giving Gilders a call in Sheffield (Audi Dealership) and ask for a guy call Rob, he gives me a 15 per cent discount on parts. Not a massive discount but it just about wipes out the VAT. He could probably have it delivered to your local dealer too?

Try VAG Parts www.vagparts.com or GPC VW & Audi www.gpcvwaudi.com where they cost me about £55 + vat each about a year ago. It is worth replacing the clips as well.

From my invoice I think the part part numbers for the front doors are: 8A0853959AGRU & 8A0853960AGRU, I don't know which is left and which is right. The clips are: 443853909A and you need 10 of them (for the 2 front doors only). Do check the part numbers are correct when ordering.
