Sounds as if a lot has happened since then?
Scary, I was the high bidder!! lucky he did not want to accept the offer..... I guess I will just have to be patient.
I sold my boat so the ML is going and I can go RS again but fancy a sorted RS2 instead of an RS4 this time

Message from the seller
I've been watching the forum with interest.
There are two sides to all stories. Here's mine.
Firstly what a cracking car the RS2 is and mines a tad upset with the distorted press it's been getting.
A few facts
RS2's bring a permanent grin
to your face Ive had one for four years now !, I now drive a 315bhp Impreza NOT as good on acceleration !
The car is still under Listers dealership warranty which covers most things except wear & tear items.
I've spent over nine grand in four years of owning the car and have all the receipts to prove this !
I've had some areas of the bodywork sprayed, but have NOT replaced any panels while I have owned the car. Using the car daily and doing 20k miles per annum you get bodywork scratches etc.
The broken plastic bit on the accelerator pedal does NOT effect the use. Its at least 2 hours labour to replace and @£169 part not £30.
All wheels are NOT kerbed, I've used a set of Toyo's two sets of Vredestiein Ultrac's which were miles better than the Toyo's. The last change of tyres I decided to use the original Dunlop spare as it could have been 10 years plus old. I matched it up with a BF Goodrich £90 tyre which is the cheap tyre. If I were the new owner I would have four new Vredesteins £110 a corner.
I've had the car four wheel aligned at Silverline in Warwick which has cured the pulling to the left under power. (Thanks)
A Mr Cruse was the first registered keeper.
The car is still For Sale at £11250.
Buyers and sellers beware, if you want a car go and view it, look at the paperwork and make sure you have got the money in the bank.
Regards

Was the suppling dealer Forge Garages??
RE: Message from the seller
Accelerator pedals are the same on any audi 80/90/coupe, can be bought for a few quid from breakers. Takes about 10mins to fit.

I drove an RS2 they had on the forecourt on a test drive round the country lanes.
Good drive IIRC except the handling was off compared to my S2. Checked tyres with salesman and found several psi missing from front nearside.
Did not go for it as I wanted to buy from a more reliable source

RE: Didn
225 is correct unless you are on OEM tyres (which would be unlikely). In summary OEM Dunlop tyres 245 are actually narrower than present 225 which are the only safe option on OEM 7" rims. There are many threads to that effect on this and other forums.

Re: RE: Didn
Sorry but the OEM Dunlop SP8000 was actually an undersize tyre and was therefore smaller in section width than some modern 225/45s so by fitting a modern 225/45 tyre you'll actually be getting "a wider look". I've got Pirelli Nero 225/45 tyres on mine and they look just as good if not better than the OEM.DucatiEVO wrote:I've got 235's on mine at the mo and yes the handling sucks but they fill the archesI was thinking of switching to 9" rims all round instead to combat this problem as I think the car looks daft with the 225's on it.
