Drove the M3 CSL about 3 months ago. Doesn't have that WHAM kick up to about 90km/h. RS2 feels faster there. Over 100 the CSL feels gruntier than the RS2. CSL suspension felt sharper and harder than RS2, but doesn't have the quattro driveability in the tight twisties. Loved the SMG gearbox. WOW imagine RS2 with SMG gearbox- no having to lift that left foot off the brake for gear changes.
Haven't driven standard M3 so dont know how that compares.
Loved the M3 CSL, but also love my RS2- it's a very special car. The quattro drivetrain does it for me.
