Lowest mileage RS2 !!??

Post by batty » Thu Nov 25, 2004 12:25 pm

currently on Autotrader, on sale in Warwick, RS Blue, only 48k miles !!!

Is this the lowest mileage in UK.

Considering it's the best colour (only my opinion I guess), I'm thinking about taking a look and possibly p/exing the S2.

Does anyone know this car? & is it worth 'offers over £20k' ?

Not sure re value - I bought an immaculate FSH 58k RS Blue one a few weeks ago for £18k - what is the additional value of 10,000 less miles? 1k? Offers over 20k sounds optimistic methinks.

Tricky. If i was buying the car because the mileage was low i would not want to use it too much incase i put too many miles on, or the everyday condition gets worse and you end up losing money.....

I would personally buy with for less with a few more miles. If you got one with 80k and put on 20-30k in a couple of years you Will probably get your money back, as long as the condition is OK

I bought mine for 10k 2.5 years ago and sold it recently for £10700......

Although, yes, i do think Noggy blue is the best colour for an RS2 8)

There's the Red RS2 on autotrader at the mo for £17,995 with 71K on the clock. Optimistic? The dealer said he would do all belt changes as part of the deal. http://www.jdtmotors.co.uk/

Would be tempted but don't like the colour particularly. Waiting for a well loved Silver RS2 that is being sold next year....

No I don't think you do David, HELLO! I'm new to posting on the forum although I've been visiting for 6 months or so. I'm currently making plans to become an RS2 owner. The Golf VR6 will have to go, which doesn't relly bother me, but the depreciation does!

I was referring to another RS2 that I know is being sold next year and has been well maintained and loved, but would consider other cars as the forum concensus seems to be "drive as many as you can". I've only been to look at one car, which was a shed, so would be nice to see some nice examples.

How bad was the RS2 I went to see? The interior didn't seem to fit very well, the drivers seat had supported a 18 stone previous owner, the red brake calipers were in need of TLC, the service history was sketchy and the guy wanted 14k for it .

I was in contact with another then RS2 owner who had been to see it, and his words were "shed"....not mine!
